A Haibun poem about a mistake I’ve made. The following poem is in response to the poetry prompt from Imperfect Poetry Challenge for May/June and it has two sections.

The first section of the Haibun is the prose section which can be up to 40 words and the last part of the Haibun is a haiku.

Compassion Needed for Friendship by Emily Rose

A mistake I made, hurt feelings were caused. Forgiveness is sought, remorse in my heart. Snuck away when you weren’t looking. Missed opportunity. Ditched and disregarded. Apologies to my friend.

Friendship forsaken

Regretfully felt guilt

Need for compassion

I hope you enjoyed my Haibun. Thanks for reading! #ffpoemapop
