Hello, pictured above is my daughter Joanna and myself. Joanna had just caught her first fish!
Unfortunately, Joanna lives at a foster home and although I have not lost legal custody, I cannot get her back without first having a home to bring to home to. This fundraising campaign is to ensure that my daughter and I can be reunified in a safe place to call our own, a new home with beds to sleep in.
I recently had total hip joint replacement surgery, and I am currently in a respite recovery center. As soon as I am medically released from this respite center, I am going to be moving into my own place.
The caseworker says, that once I’m in my own place, I can move to overnight visits for a handful of visits, and then weekend long visits, and then finally Joanna comes home for good. This is the process of transitioning Joanna home from foster care for reunification of our family through the courts.
